Welcome to our newest sport in the Active Melbourne City Sports fixture, Touch Football! This is a game of skill, agility and is played in a mixed team format.

Touch football will run on Friday afternoons in Fawker Park, for a short season of 6 weeks.

So grab you colleagues, enter a team and get active on Friday lunch breaks!

DIVISIONS

Mixed
Mixed teams are allowed a maximum of four (4) males on pitch at all times.

FORMAT

Our games include two 12 minute halves, with a two minute half time break.

Games will run at 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 1:30pm across two fields. Weekly times will be available on the below fixtures once registrations are finalised.

SEASON DURATION

Each season runs for 6 weeks starting on Friday 3 March, 2017, including a finals round. Once registrations are finalised your weekly fixtures will be available from the fixtures tab above.

TEAM SIZE

A team consists of six players. Each team must have a minimum four players on field at all times.

Tram

A number of trams run to and from Fawkner Park. We recommend looking at one of the following:

Route 72 - Melbourne University to Camberwell

Route 8 - Moreland to Toorak

Route 16 - Melbourne University to Kew via St Kilda

Car

There is multiple metered parking locations near Fawkner Park

WHAT TO WEAR

Your team will be required to wear matching coloured singlets/shirts. All team members will also be required to wear similar coloured bottoms. No pockets are allowed on your clothing for safety reasons.

Please wear suitable footwear - bare feet and business shoes are not permitted.

If you need strapping tape, bring it along!


WHAT IS PROVIDED?

A Venue Manager, qualified referees, water & sports drinks, balls and alternate bibs for all matches.

Team entries are available at $396 per team. No individual entries are available.

One of your team members is required to register your team and make payment in full. After this, all other team members are invited to access the registration platform and join the team at no cost to the individual. Each team member is required to go through this process before your team registration is finalised.

To enter the competition a member of your team will need to create a NEW TEAM REGISTRATION and make payment in full.

The captains will then pass on a team code to each player for them to enter their registration details prior to round one.

So, you want to play but don’t have a team. Game over right? Think again!

We have partnered with Just Play to give everyone the chance to get involved in our competitions, regardless of if you have your own team or not. How does it work? Just Play accepts individual registrations and then creates whole teams that play in our competitions.
 
Simply select a sport and day that suits you, complete a registration and then Just Play will do the rest.
